Thanksgiving Preparations

Thanksgiving preparations are underway and this year will be a departure from a traditional menu. The boys eat multiple meals, so I thought it would be nice to give them a break from eating the same things over-and-over.

The card stock paper turkey boxes were made on the Cricut. I created different Cricut Design Space elements to have a turkey on a serving tray. Turkeys are stuffed with the cookies and chocolates in the above image.

The plates are from Anthropologie and beautiful embroidered napkins are a Magnolia find. The plates mirror the look of the large lotus pods in the arrangement.

Chris and I ventured to Wooster last weekend and I found some of the artificial flowers from Pine Tree Barn. Their prices were very reasonable for each stem. The pretty light sage blue ceramic pumpkin is from Terrain. The Harry Lauder branches are all that remain from the large bush I had to cut down several years ago. The pheasant feathers are made from fabric and look very realistic. I had the dried millet and large purple artichoke for years, so it was nice to reuse them in this arrangement. Candles on the table are always a plus in my book and I kept the John Derian Thanksgiving candle jars once the candles were burned. The images on the jars are too pretty to go into a landfill.

Wishing you a lovely Thanksgiving!
